Performing Arts Association of St. Joseph Inc. Announces 1st Annual Downtown Wreath Parade
A Month-Long Holiday Celebration and Fundraiser for the Arts
St. Joseph, MO – The Performing Arts Association of St. Joseph, Inc. (PAA) is proud to present its 1st Annual Downtown Wreath Parade, a festive community-wide event running through the month of November. This unique celebration invites local residents, businesses, and supporters of the arts to design and showcase holiday wreaths, all while raising funds to support PAA’s mission of bringing high-quality performing arts to the St. Joseph community and region. There is no fee to participate!
· October 1–31: Wreath Creation
Community members are invited to create their own wreaths to support the arts. A free wire wreath base can be picked up at the PAA office (713 Edmond, St. Joseph) beginning October 1 while supplies last. Participants may also use their own 14-inch (minimum) base. Please note: no live materials should be used in wreath creation.
· November 3–4: Wreath Drop-Off
Completed wreaths should be delivered to the PAA office. The decorated wreaths will then be displayed in the windows of the United Building and other downtown businesses, turning the city center into a festive holiday gallery. Businesses are encouraged to participate by making a wreath, serving as a display location, or both. All display sites will be included on the official wreath parade map.
· November 8–30: Voting and Online Auction
Community members can vote for their favorite wreath online or in person at the PAA office (one vote per person). Silent auction bidding will also be open online through the PAA website, with all proceeds directly supporting the Performing Arts Association.
· December 1: Winners Announced
The wreath creators with the most community votes will be awarded the “People’s Choice” honor, while the wreath that sells for the highest bid will be recognized as the “Most Valuable.” Both winners will receive a pair of season tickets for PAA’s 2026/2027 season. Winning bidders may pick up their wreaths December 2–5 at the PAA office.
